Love and other Drugs

The passion of love,
Makes your heart move;
Get a good dose in,
Of life's oxygen, Oxytocin;

A simple pleasure,
Leads you to treasure;
Digging too deep in the mine,
Get you addicted, Dopamine;

Triggers your curiosity,
In every epic story,
That has ever been,
There's Norepinephrine;

A lot of stress,
Leaves you in a mess;
Such a pain to all,
Blame it on Cortisol;

The ride is thrilling,
Gets more exciting;
And you go all in,
Rush of Adrenaline;

Warm glow of fame,
Feel proud of your name;
Sunshine brings a ton in,
Success smells of Serotonin;

A dramatic tale,
An emotional cocktail;
Your life history,
Is Nature's chemistry!

The Alchemist

All around us,
Yet easy to miss;
Shrouded in mist,
The only Alchemist;

She is as old as time,
But has eternal youth;
Her skill always prime,
Her work speaks truth;

Her lab is the universe,
Her method, very terse;
With chemicals, only four,
She creates worlds and more;

Take a bow!
At her colorful rainbow;
Lo and behold!
She turns rock to gold;

The earth her bowl,
Filled with salty sea,
With winds that howl,
And lightning to stir,
She found the elixir of life.
