Frame

Invincible and imposing,

The mountains stand mighty,

Cool and calmly flowing,

The river seems saintly;

Yet, the river keeps hitting,

Unruffled and steady,

At the hills so daunting,

And has its way, finally.

Although hard and rocky,

The mountain loses frame;

The river keep its frame;

Creates canyons and valleys.

Combats and threats,

Life throws aplenty,

Keep your frame,

Have your fame!

The Blue Bird

Like the glistening sun,

On the blue ocean,

I saw a bright blue bird,

Her dulcet chirp, I heard;

I waved my hand,

Slowly she came to land,

Eyes brown like mine,

At first gaze, deeply entwined.

Rapt by my gesture,

She came out to venture;

Like in a trance,

For a joyful dance;

By the river, by the sea,

She flew with me;

Sometimes like a charm,

Perched on my arm;

Although she loved me

Stroke her golden plume,

It wouldn't last many a day,

She had to fly far away;

With a peck on the finger,

So loving, it still lingers

She flew from my window sill,

Into the sunset on the hill.

The Magical Mirror

Once upon a time,

In the mystic mountains,

I got a mirror for a dime,

From a wise man.

He said, "When you are unclear,

The right way, you want to know,

Then, look into the mirror,

The truth, it shall show"

I was filled with pleasure,

To find such a treasure,

Always knowing the right way,

Reaching the top is the only way;

One day, a problem I faced,

Confused, I took out the mirror,

I waited, but I saw nothing,

Except my face, only closer;

One plain day, I saw a glum chap,

One fine day, I saw a glad man,

In the pit of problems some times,

Atop the range of ideas few times;

I realized slowly, the more,

I wanted to see the confident man,

On the little mirror, he showed up more,

And he was a man with a plan;

After all these years,

His words, echoed in my ears,

'What you see , is what you get,

If you get what you see, you have no regret'

The mirror shows who you are,

You are who you think you are;

Your mindset is your reality,

The world reacts to your vitality.

Traveler

The world moves backward,

As you move forward,

Splendid stories unravel,

When you travel;

In the sky, on the sea,

You can be an aviator,

You can be a sailor,

When you are a traveler;

Overcome danger,

With a band of strangers,

Be a star in a thriller,

Be a traveler;

Born to explore,

It's your primal desire,

A cocktail of novelty,

Awaits a thirsty traveler.

The Friend in Need

Jump into the water,

It pushes you up;

Failure pushes you down,

For you to pull up;

For every life you see,

Countless deaths, you don't see;

Failure is nature's way,

Of showing you a new way;

Bear the sting of rejection,

To taste the sweet honey;

Rejection leads to introspection,

You know what's going awry;

Like a bird peeking into life,

Breaking the egg shell,

Break the shell of challenge,

To keep growing in life;

Without a strong challenge,

There is no desire to change;

Change in the only constant,

In the arms race of evolution;

Success is a fair weather friend,

Who gives you a good time;

Failure is the friend in need,

Who guides you at the right time.

Doctor Time

Pitter patter days together,

Grey skies seem forever,

Play spoilsport to your plan,

Go nowhere you can.

Makes you hop around for days after,

Yet, when the prodigal sun is back,

Gloomy days seem a long time back,

You enjoy the gift of green grass.

Pain of failure gives sleepless nights,

You try to move on with all might,

Yet it lingers in mind, like a red light,

To your train of thought.

The soothing balm of time,

Heals wounds in time,

When the Healer is done,

With his job, your pain is gone.

The Healer sometimes leaves a scar,

To remind in the future afar,

That you had overcome pain,

And you can do it again!

Fear turns into Addiction

Haunts you in the day,

Your worst nightmare;

Into the abyss you stare,

Fear keeps you at bay;

Gentle wave feels like tsunami,

Snowy slopes trigger an avalanche,

You get strangled by redwood branch,

The feeling when fear overwhelms;

Embrace your worst fear,

It's not your fiend;

Cape of courage, you wear,

And just do it my friend!

You fail at first,

But you know you can fight,

You dig deep, your game gets tight,

And this won't be your last;

The shark has smelt blood,

Fear gets washed away

As excitement floods,

You speed on this 'high'way;

Now, you surf the sea waves,

Ski the snowy slopes,

Hike in the woods,

Fear has turned into addiction!
